Timepieces signed Rousseau

On the occasion of the City of Geneva’s tricentennial celebration of the birth of Jean-Jacques Rousseau (1712–1778), the Patek Philippe Museum and the Comité européen Jean-Jacques Rousseau have jointly organised a thematic exhibition of a selection of rare and precious timepieces, genuine masterpieces of 17th-century watchmaking, chosen from the collections of the Patek Philippe Museum, private lenders and public and private institutions.

The ancestral family of the celebrated Genevan philosopher Jean-Jacques Rousseau included a number of watchmakers and artisans in related domains, making the Rousseau dynasty a perfect illustration of 17th-century Genevan craftsmanship.
